We live in a time of severe crisis, tell us about this new investment.

"The construction crisis also affected the production of aluminum laminates, and between 2010 and 2011 we imagined new scenas, starting from the weaknesses in the market. Finding aluminum coils in small quantities had become increasingly difficult, so we thought of our own coating plant. We wanted to go upstream of a step that seemed complex and inflexible, introducing since 2014 this innovative plant of coil coating for aluminum laminates of low thickness (0.2 mm to 0.4 mm), because the market changes and new investments allow us to keep up."

How exactly is the market being redesigned?

"Today you have to be smart and not work on the competition, but exploit the market. We are working in that uncovered niche that used to be a thorn in the side for the big companies, but that becomes an opportunity for us and for small and medium-sized profile manufacturers. In Europe we are the fourth company that profiles and owns a coil coating plant, in Italy the first. Thanks to this transition we have been able to be very good partners for those who want to start rolling shutter production. We can give very good know-how on the processing of rolling shutters and supply the aluminum coils, along with a whole range of profiles that they would not go to produce, because each plant has an ad hoc type of profile. People who want to start in this industry either make very high investments or rely on a company like us."
